We are committed to sustainably harvesting all varieties of invasive carp. This includes Big Head, Black, Grass, and Silver Carp. These Carp are collectively known as Asian Carp and are considered a pest fish. The Asian Carp have utilized the Mississippi river to invade many of the waterways in the heart of North America.

An adult Bighead or Silver carp can eat up to 40% of its body weight every day. Over time, Asian carp can drastically change the food chain and potentially displace other species. We aim to reduce the overall number of Asian Carp while returning any native species caught. 

Although it is not consumed much in North America, Asian Carp carp provide a rich source of nutrients such as omega-3, essential amino acids, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA). These compounds have the effect of preventing and treating atherosclerosis, anti-cancer, and reducing fat in the blood.
